Spice up your Halloween party with this creepy and delicious “Dead Finger” brigadeiro recipe! Easy to make and perfect for impressing kids (or adults!) at your spooky celebration!
Dead Finger Recipe
Ingredients
1 can sweetened condensed milk
8 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 tablespoon margarine or butter (any kind)
1 packet of Maria biscuits (or digestive biscuits)
White fondant or marzipan (for the nails)
Instructions (30 minutes)
Step 1 – Prepare the biscuits
Chop the Maria biscuits into small pieces and set aside. They will add crunch to the finger mixture.
Step 2 – Make the brigadeiro
In a saucepan, mix:
Sweetened condensed milk
Margarine or Butter
Cocoa powder
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture starts to pull away from the bottom of the pan.
Step 3 – Add the biscuits
Once the brigadeiro reaches a thick consistency, add the chopped biscuits and mix well. Remove from heat.
Step 4 – Prepare the surface
Grease a marble slab or smooth surface with margarine or butter. Pour the mixture out and gently flatten it with your hands. Let it cool slightly.
Step 5 – Shape the fingers
Roll the mixture into cylinders like a finger.
For the nails: use white fondant or marzipan and place it at the tip of each finger.
To create the nail groove, use a knife or toothpick to mark the fondant lightly.
Tip: Press gently to secure the nail to the finger.
Step 6 – Finishing touches
Arrange the “fingers” on a serving tray. For extra creepiness, add a touch of red gel or jam for a bloody effect!
💡 Serving suggestion:Place the Dead Fingers on a black tray or drizzle with chocolate sauce to create a spooky, “bloody” presentation for Halloween.
